The Lower Hall

Here, representatives of all phyla of the animal kingdom are shown, except for birds and mammals. The number of exhibits is so great that a careful study of them can take several days. Therefore, we provide here just a short  sightseeing tour for you, which can be extended by visiting the museum.

Several parts of the exhibition can be recognized devoted to particular groups of living beings. Along the left wall of the Hall, there is exposition of invertebrates culminating with showcases with the newest part of the permanent exhibition of the museum, namely “ocean hydrothermal vents communities”. Farthest from the entrance of the Hall is reserved for displaying insects. In the center and in the right showcases lines one can see first lower chordates, followed by fish and then amphibians and reptiles.
