Here, representatives of all animal phyla are shown,
excluding two classes of higher vertebrates (birds and mammals). Number
of specimens is so great that any close investigation of the exhibit can
occupy full several days. That is why what is offered here to "virtual
visitors" is just a brief review of the Lower Hall.
The entire exhibit may be divided into several sections
devoted to different animal groups. Exhibition of all the invertebrate
phyla shown systematically is arranged along the left side of the hall.
It is ended by a special, newly organized display showing natural community
of so called hydrotherms. The most remote part of the hall is assigned
to the insects. Along the right side and in the central raw, as you go
back to the entrance, you can see first lower chordates and then lower
vertebrates - fishes, amphibians, and reptiles.
