The Circle of Young Naturalists of the Zoological Museum
The Circle of Young Naturalists of the Zoological
Museum of Moscow University works in accordance to the program developed
in 1982 by its leader, Dr. Eugenie Dunaev, a researcher of this
Museum. It is designed for schoolchildren of 7-11 classes and earlier
graduates. Each annual group contains 30-40 persons.
The program includes theoretical, practical, and
excursion works, and also field trips. The latters are carried out
in the vicinities of Moscow (3 times per year) and in taiga of Northern
Karelia, in subtropical region of montane Crimea, and in Astrakhan
deserts.
Dr. Dunaev was awarded the Soros Teacher title
for his leadership of the Circle.
