Nikolay Nikitich Demidoff (1740–1826)
Nikolay N. Demidoff was not only a manufacturer but also a prominent diplomat served in Italia: his monument was built up in Florenzia. He donated his collection of minerals, shells and some other natural history objects to Moscow University in 1814 to recommence its Cabinet of Natural History burned in 1812.
