Pavel Nikolaevich Demidoff (1798–1840)
Pavel N. Demidoff established special fund as a source of "Demidoff prizes" to be given for the best research works in natural history of Russia. N.A. Severtzov was the first to to win this purse for his book "Periodical phenomena in life of mammals, birds and reptiles of Voronezh Government".
