Scolopendra viridicornis

Collection of millipedes was studied by V.S. Muralevich (1910-1920s), by N.T. Zalesskaya (1960-1970s) and then by S.I. Golovach, E.V. Mikhalyeva, A.A. Shileyko, Jr. Type series described by A.V. Selivanov and by Muralevich are of interest.

Among chilopods, most representative are collections of Lithobiidae and Geophilidae of the former USSR fauna, and Scolopendromorpha of Vietnam and Amazonia.


Giant diplopodian from Julidae

Among diplopods, most noteworthy is an extensive collection from Caucasus with more than 10.000 specimens donated by S.I. Golovach. He also delivered types of about 200 species described by him and W. Sher, as well as about 5.000 specimens of tropical diplopods from America and Africa.
