There are 3.458 items of the collection materials on polychaetes kept in the Museum. They are stored in 75 per cent ethanol.
This collection is completed basically by acquisitions from arctic marine expeditions. Much less in number are samples from Far East and tropical seas.
There are 38 type specimens of polychaetes preserved in the collection.
