Subsidiary Research Stock
The specimens belonging to this part of the Museum collection stock
are of minimal scientific value mainly due to absence of exact locality
data, collector(s) names, etc. They are usually brought to the Museum
by amateur or inexperienced people: mollusk shells, badly prepared
insects, parts of skeletons and Staffed skins of terrestrial vertebrates,
some plaster casts. They are used in exhibitions and sometimes in
teaching.
