Department of Exposition Library Division of Invertebrate Zoology Division of Entomology Division of Ichthyology Division of Herpetology Division of Ornithology Division of Mammalogy Division of Evolutionary Morphology

Division of Entomology has been organized in 1932. Experts entomologists, engaged in studying insects, work in a Division.
The primary goal of a Division and employees working in it consists in gathering, updating and storage of collections of Insecta. As all employees are experts on different groups of insects they supervise corresponding and close groups. Besides they carry out scientific researches on systematization, geography and distribution of these groups


Division of Entomology is placed on the second floor of a building Collections of butterflies and bugs are deposited in depository 51which is an end-part of a building, extended along Bol'shaya Nikitskaja street. Planning to visit a department, it is necessary to phone beforehand to employees by phones 629-48-73, 629-44-25, 629-40-09.
