Andrey Leonidovich Ozerov
Chief of Division of Entomology and Curator in Charge, Leading Researcher, curator of a part of the dipteran collection.

Candidate of Sciences. Member of Moscow Soc. of Naturalists and of Russian Entomological Soc.

Research interests are in taxonomy and natural history of several families of the cyclorhaphan flies (Micropezidae, Dryomyzidae, Sepsidae, Pallopteridae, Piophilidae, Scathophagidae, Calliphoridae), described more than 120 new species. Participated in numerous expeditions to North Caucasus, Turkmenia, Far East.

Aleksandr Valentinovich Antropov
Senior Researcher, Curator of the hymenopteran collection.

Candidate of Sciences. Member of the International Soc. of Hymenopterists and Societe Entomologique de France. Member of the Editorial Board of Russian Entomological Journal.

Research interests are in taxonomy, distribution and natural history of some wasp families. Special interests are in morphology of pre-imaginal stages, hunting and nesting behavior of the fossorial wasps of the tribe Trypoxylini. Prepared and published several world-scale revisions of several genera (Aulacophilus, Pisoxylon, Brimocelus etc.). Described more than 110 new species.

Anatoliy Ivanovich Shatalkin
Senior Researcher, curator of a part of the dipteran collection.

Doctor of Sciences. Member of Moscow Soc. of Naturalists, of Russian Entomological Soc, and of Willie Hennig Society.

Research interests are in taxonomy and phylogeny of several families of the cyclorhaphan flies (Platypezidae, Syrphidae, Pseudopomyzidae, Strongylophthalmyiidae, Psilidae, Lauxaniidae). Participated in several expeditions to Turkmenia, North Caucasus, Far East. Described about 150 new species.

Expert in distribution and biotopical preferences of butterfly families of Rhopalocera (especially Geometridae). Also interested in insect conservation.

Nikolay Borisovich Nikitsky
Senior Researcher, curator of a part of the coleopteran collection.

Doctor of Sciences. Member of International Coleopterological Society; member of the Comission for Red Data Book of Russia.

Research interests are in taxonomy and natural history of the xilophylous and mycetophylous beetles of the superfamilies Cucujoidea and Tenebrionoidea. Participated in numerous expeditions to European Russia, Caucasus and Carpathian Mts, Far East (including the Kurils). Also interested in insect conservation. Described about 60 new species.

Georgiy Yuriyevich Lyubarsky
Researcher, curator of a part of the coleopteran collection.

Candidate of Sciences. Expert in taxonomy and phylogeny of several beetle families (Cryptophagidae, Phalacridae, Languriidae).

Interested in problems of typology and its basic concepts (archetype, morphotype, biological style, etc.) which were considered in a monograph. Described about 60 new species.

Senior Researcher, curator of a part of the butterfly collection.

Candidate of Sciences. Member of Moscow Soc. of Naturalists, Russian Entomological Soc. and Societas Europaea Lepidopterologica. Member of Editorial Boards of 3 scientific journals, editor of several scientific monographs. Conferred with a medal by President of Russian Federation (1997).

Specialist in taxonomy and distribution of a number of families (especially Noctuidae) of Hetherocera. Develops a theory of identification keys in biological taxonomy. Also interested in insect conservation.

Assitant Researcher, curator of a part of the coleopteran collection.

Specialist in taxonomy and distribuiton of the beetles of the families Scarabaeoidea and Byrrhidae. Descibed 10 new species.



Elena Borisovna Fedoseeva
Junior Researcher. Studies morphology, ecology and phylogeny of ants of the family Formicidae. Participated in expeditions to Kazakhstan, Middle Asia, north of European Russia.
