The staff of the Division deals with gathering, curating and studying collections of amphibians (Amphibia) and reptiles (Reptilia).

At present, collection of the Division is among the largest gatherings of amphibians and reptiles of Russia and adjacent territories. It includes about 11.500 items of reptiles and 4.000 items of amphibians.

The office and collection rooms of the Division (¹ 44) are situated on the ground floor of the left wing of the Museum building (along Nikitsky Per.). The contact phone is 629-44-60.
