Scientific research focuses on Myotis taxonomy and sibling species problem. Study on the subgenus Selysius resulted in revision of the taxonomic composition of some species groups within the subgenus. It was proposed to use tooth shape details for species identification within "mystacinus" species group. Morphological study of the subgenus Selysius allowed separated several cryptic species and raise statuses of several forms to species. Current study is focused on molecular taxonomy and phylogeography in bats.
